Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.25%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Premia AE (AT:PREMr), which rose 6.34% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT:TWSr) added 2.49% or 0.08 points to end at 3.29 and Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) was up 2.44% or 0.02 points to 0.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which fell 4.76% or 0.70 points to trade at 14.00 at the close. National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) declined 3.16% or 0.25 points to end at 7.59 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) was down 2.61% or 0.40 points to 14.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Premia AE (AT:PREMr) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.34% or 0.08 to 1.27.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.75% or 19.94 to $2,625.16 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.11% or 0.77 to hit $68.69 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.12% or 0.81 to trade at $71.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 107.99.
